aesthetic architecture
The second office of ARTEC S.A. close to the Venetian port of Chania is a brilliant example for those who strive to preserve the aesthetic of the town. The building on Karaoli & Dimitriou str needed restoration on the constructive points, and interior decorator Mata Mavridou chose the composition of the space on two levels, with wood as the main material and in addition the glass surfaces of the offices. A wooden staircase leads to the attic, designed so as to leave the view open towards the Venetian walls. On the ground floor, marble cut in the traditional way forms Byzantine designs and the studied lighting creates a warm friendly atmosphere.
